SNEAKER CARE

We never put sneakers in a machine — each material is treated separately.

A single pair has mesh, suede trim, synthetic leather and a rubber sole — each needs its own product.

The work we do.

  • We check each upper material separately.
  • We clean the laces and removable insole apart.
  • We wash the upper by hand with foam and a soft brush.
  • We treat the outsole and midsole separately.
  • We dry on a shaper and remove the odour.

We accept these items.

  • Sneakers with yellowed white soles
  • Pairs with soiled mesh and woven uppers
  • Sneakers with suede or nubuck trim
  • Trainers with odour inside
  • Pairs with stains on a synthetic-leather upper
  • Sneakers that lost their shape in a washing machine

We check the item.

Our courier collects your item. We check the material, stains and damage at our workshop. We choose a suitable method and explain the chances of stain removal and any risks. We confirm the final price after inspection.

We quote separately for restoration.

  • A washing machine loosens the glue line and crushes the midsole foam — the shape never comes back. We work the upper by hand.
  • A yellowed white sole is not only dirt but oxidation: after washing we treat it with a separate renewal product, though factory white does not return on every pair — we tell you the likely result at inspection.
  • Pressing hard with a brush tears the fibre on mesh and woven panels; we clean those areas with foam and light pressure.
  • Suede and nubuck trim is never washed with water — we open it up dry and lift the nap.
  • If the colour has faded, that is a separate job: see the Shoe dyeing page.
  • If the sole has come away, a seam has opened or the heel is worn, see the Shoe restoration page.
  • Classic leather and suede footwear has its own page — Footwear care.
  • After cleaning we can add a water-repellent protector to mesh and suede — optional, just mention it at intake.

How we do it.

  1. We separate the materials and test.

One sneaker holds four or five different materials: mesh, suede or nubuck trim, synthetic leather, a rubber outsole and a foam midsole. We check each one, read the label and test the product in a hidden area, treating any part that risks bleeding separately.

  2. We hand-wash and treat the sole.

We take out the laces and removable insole and clean them separately. The upper is washed with foam and a soft brush — no hot water, no machine — with lighter pressure on mesh. The white outsole and foam midsole get a separate product that never touches the upper.

  3. We dry on a shaper and clear the odour.

We dry at room temperature with a shaper inside, never on a radiator or in the sun — heat loosens the glue. Once dry we treat the interior with an antibacterial product, and on request add a water-repellent protector to mesh and suede.

We answer your questions.

Can sneakers go in a washing machine?

We advise against it. The tumbling impact loosens the glue line and hot water crushes the midsole foam, so the sole starts to separate and the shape never returns. We wash the upper by hand with a product matched to each material.

Will the white sole be white again?

Surface dirt comes off and most of the yellowing lightens. If the yellowing comes from oxidation inside the material, however, a full return to factory white is not possible on every pair. At inspection we check the sole and tell you what result to expect — without promises.

What do you do with suede or nubuck trim?

We never wet those panels. Suede and nubuck are opened up dry and the nap lifted with a brush, while the mesh and leather parts are cleaned damp. To combine both methods on one pair we mask the panels and treat them separately.

Does the odour go away?

The odour usually sits in the insole and the lining layer. We clean the removable insole separately, treat the interior with an antibacterial product and dry the pair fully — any leftover moisture brings the smell back. If the insole has broken down it needs replacing, and we say so at inspection.

Do you restore faded sneakers?

Yes, but it is a separate job from care. Cleaning removes dirt and does not bring colour back — for colour loss you need Shoe dyeing. For work on a separating sole, seams or heels, see the Shoe restoration page. Both jobs can go into one order.

How long does it take?

Most of the time goes on drying: sneakers cannot be dried fast, because heat loosens the glue. The time depends on the material, how deep the soiling is and any extra work (odour, protector, dyeing); we give a ready date at intake and let you know when the pair is done.

Which branch should I bring them to?

All four branches accept footwear: 28 May (Kövkəb Səfərəliyeva 19A), Nərimanov (Əlicabbar Orucəliyev 126), Ağ Şəhər (Süleyman Vəzirov 28c/1) and Elmlər (Fətəli Xan Xoyski 14). 28 May, Nərimanov and Elmlər open Mon-Sat 10:00-19:00 and Sunday 12:00-18:00; Ağ Şəhər opens daily 10:00-22:00. If coming in is inconvenient, our courier collects and returns the pair — *3338 or +994 55 433 33 38.
