Questions and answers

We answer your questions about cleaning.

We explain how we assess materials and stains to choose a cleaning method. Before we start, we discuss the risks and likely results with you.

  • Could cleaning damage my garment?

We first check the material, dye, lining and decorations. We test colour fastness in a hidden area. Testing cannot rule out every risk. Before starting, we tell you about any risk of damage we identify.

  • Could my garment’s colour change?

Some dyes are sensitive to water or solvents. We test a hidden area to assess the risk of colour change. If we find a risk, we tell you and check whether another method is suitable. If none is suitable, we decline the work.

  • How do you identify the material if a garment has no label?

If the label is missing or unreadable, we assess the material through inspection and testing. This cannot always establish the exact fibre content. We also check the lining and decorations, and explain any uncertainty and risks.

  • How do you clean leather and suede garments?

We clean leather with foam and little moisture. For restoration, we prepare the surface and fill suitable scratches. We apply thin layers of colour-matched pigment tested in a hidden area, then a protective coating. We use a method suited to suede and raise the nap without pressing. We show you the colour restoration test result beforehand.

  • Will my garment keep its shape after cleaning?

We assess the risk of shape loss based on the material and construction, and explain it beforehand. We choose pressing and shaping settings to suit the garment and treat delicate areas separately. We check the shape before return. We don’t promise to preserve every garment’s shape completely.

  • Do you clean designer garments?

Yes. We first check the material, lining, decorations and construction. We assess whether beads and appliqués can withstand cleaning. We choose suitable methods for delicate areas and discuss risks and likely results with you beforehand.

  • Can you remove oil, wine, blood and ink stains?

We ask what caused the stain, when it appeared and what you’ve used on it at home. We check the material and choose a suitable product, treating only the stained area separately. We explain the chances of removal beforehand. We don’t promise to fully remove old or heat-set stains.

  • How does wet cleaning differ from dry cleaning?

Wet cleaning uses water. We adjust temperature, mechanical action and product dose to the fabric, then dry and reshape it. For dry cleaning, we use Kreussler SOLVONK4 halogen-free solvent instead of water in the Realstar SYSTEMK4 closed-loop process. We choose the method based on the label, material and stain.

  • How can I track my order?

Open the “Track your order” page on our website and enter your order number. We show your order’s current status there.
