curtain care
We clean sheer, jacquard, linen, velvet and blackout-lined curtains at our workshop. We check the care label, measurements and shrinkage risk before choosing a method.
The work we do.

Our courier collects your item. We check the material, stains and damage at our workshop. We choose a suitable method and explain the chances of stain removal and any risks. We confirm the final price after inspection.

We inspect the label, lining and seams and record the length and width. At intake, we explain the risks of shrinkage and damage to fragile areas.

We first remove loose dust using a dry method. We assess stains and treat tabs, rings and heading tape separately, choosing the main cleaning method to suit both fabric and lining.

We hang the curtains to dry and, where suitable, steam them without direct iron pressure. We recheck measurements and the lining before packing.
No, we clean curtains at our workshop. Our courier collects them once they have been taken down; see Book courier for collection details.
Turnaround depends on the order size, fabric and drying time. We confirm when the curtains will be ready at intake.
You may not need to remove the rail itself; it depends on the fittings. Send us a photo of the rail and attachments before forcing anything, and we can explain what needs checking. Leave heavy fittings at height to an installer.
High heat and a strong spin can cause shrinkage, and the lining may shrink differently from the outer fabric. We check measurements before and after cleaning, but cannot promise to restore curtains that have already shrunk.
We do not use the same wash cycle for every curtain. We inspect the blackout coating, velvet pile and care label before explaining which method is suitable.
We consider dimensions, fabric, lining and the work needed on details and stains. See Pricing for the price list; we confirm the final amount after inspection at intake.
We check the cause and the fabric’s condition and explain the chances of removal after inspection. Cleaning may not restore sun-faded colour or sun-weakened fibres.
